Louis Vuitton Company to Manage Hotels

LV is about to manage 2 hotels, one in Oman and one in Egypt, but without owning them, in a first time at least.

They already opened a very luxury hotel in Courchevel and called Cheval Blanc. This property is a major success since then, even since the beginning of the economic crisis.

Bernard Arnault is actually a challenger who always needs to find new challenges. So it was predictible that after this success they were about to try to extend this new 'department' of the company.

Moreover, more and more luxury brands open hotels so the fact that the most successfull luxury brands of the world could perfectly succeed and in the end owning hotels and develop it own chain.

  1. Anne Sophie,
I thing your article is very interesting because it shows that the leader in the luxury industry still has opportunities to increase its reputation and its profit by opening own shops in own hotels.
As well I posted a link about the same topic. Or did you spied on me?
Who knows, maybe in a few years will work for LVMH Hotel Management.

  2. Dear Anne I really liked your article cause it remind us the strong potential that LVMH has.

After the crisis LV have had the fastest and the best result in Wall Street.

Of course LV has all the chances to succeed as long as Giorgio Armani and Bulgari did.

I belive in the strong aspiration of Bernard Arnauld and I also belive it is his next move...

    Thank you,

    Ignazio

  4. I think also it is a good opportunity for LVMH. However, it is complicated to manage the diversification of a brand: it should keep the same value of the brand in order to not confuse the customers. So it could be a real challenge to succeed in hotelier sector.
Do these hotels offer products of the brand?

  5. Well actually in the Cheval Blanc Hotel in COurchevel, whoch is property of Bernard Arnault, there is a Louis Vuitton store.
In the other examples, the hotels are decorated with furniture and creation of the designer.
